How do Offer Boosts work?
Offer Boosts merge the simplicity of CLOs (powered through the Kard network today) with a layer of gamification in your app, rewarding consumers with a higher, 'boosted' cashback amount whenever they tap “Boost” on an offer.
Let’s use two real examples to illustrate the user experience.
- Say a cardholder actively uses their card to purchase at a brand but doesn’t engage with the issuer’s app. If they make a purchase at a brand on the Kard network, this type of cardholder will continue to redeem baseline reward amounts in a frictionless manner — just like a CLO. All cardholders, even the ones that don’t engage with the app, gain a seamless rewards redemption experience that traditional CTA is unable to offer.
- Now consider another cardholder who actively uses their card to purchase at a brand and exhibits strong app engagement. By boosting an offer, they’ll be able to redeem a reward at an elevated cashback amount, the Boost, as a token of appreciation for their loyalty to the app and the brand. Here’s what in-app Offer Boosts look like:
Partners on the Kard network utilizing Offer Boosts will have the additional flexibility to create gamified app experiences that encourage consumers to Boost and buy. Some of these personalizations include:
- Setting Boost reward amounts (and adjusting them over time)
- Setting the lengths of time Boosts are active (on a cardholder by cardholder cadence)
